Purpose of Role

The CFO is responsible for leading the financial management, governance, and reporting functions of Novaris Power, ensuring compliance with IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, and donor/DFI requirements. This role safeguards financial integrity, supports project financing, and ensures robust treasury management across HoldCo and SPVs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain IFRS-compliant consolidated and SPV-level accounts
  • Lead annual audits for HoldCo and all SPVs; manage auditor and regulator relationships
  • Implement treasury policies, bank mandates, and DSRA compliance across SPVs
  • Manage donor/DFI reporting obligations, ensuring accurate and timely submissions
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for projects and corporate
  • Structure and negotiate project financing, equity, and debt arrangements

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualification: ACA/ACCA qualified accountant
  • Experience: 7–10 years' experience in finance, with strong exposure to infrastructure, energy, or project finance
  • Proven experience in donor/DFI reporting and financial close
  • Strong treasury, cashflow management, and FX risk management experience
  • Proven experience with IFRS, audits, and working with DFIs
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills

The Site Operations Technician (Lead) is responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, performance, and sustainability of the solar mini-grid and its distribution network. The role combines hands-on technical operations, customer service, basic financial administration, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

A. Technical Operations

  • Operate and maintain solar PV, inverter, and battery storage systems
  • Conduct daily system monitoring (PV generation, BESS SOC, voltage, frequency, load profiles)
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Diagnose and resolve system faults, escalating complex issues
  • Maintain technical logs, maintenance schedules, and asset registers
  • Ensure HSE, electrical safety, and REA/NERC mini-grid standards compliance

B. Commercial & Customer Management

  • Manage customer connections, metering, and service activation
  • Oversee energy sales through SuperNova Platform
  • Conduct daily revenue reconciliation and payment monitoring
  • Handle customer complaints and service requests professionally
  • Support customer education and productive use initiatives

C. Finance & Administration

  • Record daily financial transactions accurately
  • Maintain transparent bookkeeping using Sage or Novaris templates
  • Prepare monthly financial summaries and cash reconciliation

D. Community & Stakeholder Engagement

E. Reporting & Compliance

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: HND/B.Eng in Electrical or Renewable Energy Engineering (or equivalent practical experience)

  • Experience: Minimum 4–6 years in energy operations, electrical maintenance, or mini-grid management

The Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding all mini-grid assets, equipment, and personnel on site. The role ensures 24-hour security coverage, prevents vandalism or theft, and maintains a safe environment for staff, customers, and community members.

Key Responsibilities

A. Site Security & Surveillance

  • Conduct regular patrols of solar array, control rooms, battery/inverter containers, and site perimeter
  • Control access to the site by verifying and logging all personnel, vehicles, and visitors
  • Monitor security systems (CCTV, alarms, motion sensors) and report unusual activity
  • Maintain night-shift and incident logs accurately
  • Assist in enforcement of site safety and security protocols

B. Collaboration & Reporting

  • Liaise with Site Operations Technician and community security groups
  • Report any damage, intrusion, or suspicious activity immediately
  • Participate in site security meetings and emergency drills
  • Support investigation of incidents or losses where required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Minimum of SSCE or equivalent basic literacy certification
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in industrial, corporate, or facility security preferred
